Our Mission to Skill

ADITYA NANDA SCHOLARSHIP

The Aditya Nanda Scholarship, an initiative by the Keshav Suri Foundation and The LaLiT Suri Hospitality Group, is a step towards empowering LGBTQIA+ individuals through access to quality education in hospitality and beyond. Named in memory of Aditya Nanda, this scholarship is designed to support deserving students from the LGBTQIA+ community in pursuing academic and professional excellence.

The scholarship is offered across two key streams:

Hospitality & Hotel Management Programmes
At the LaLiT Suri Hospitality School
This stream offers full scholarships to five qualified LGBTQIA+ students wishing to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in
Hospitality and Hotel Management or a Diploma in Food Production and Bakery.
What it includes:
  • Full coverage of tuition and accommodation fees
  • Access to mentorship, career counselling, and mental health support
Eligibility:
  • Open to LGBTQIA+ applicants
  • Must have passed Class 12
Distance & Online Education Programmes
In partnership with Lovely Professional University
This stream supports LGBTQIA+ students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees through distance or
online learning modes at Lovely Professional University.

Courses covered include Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in fields such as Arts, Business Administration, Commerce,
Computer Applications, Information Technology, Library Sciences, and more.
What it includes: Full coverage of course and registration fees
Eligibility:
  • Open to LGBTQIA+ applicants
  • Must have passed Class 12

FLAGSHIP PROGRAMS IN COLLABORATION WITH THE KESHAV SURI FOUNDATION

The Keshav Suri Foundation (KSF) is committed to advancing LGBTQIA+ rights, inclusion, and empowerment through innovative programs and cross-sector partnerships.

Flagship Initiatives
  • TRANSaction: Acting workshops for transgender and queer individuals in partnership with filmmaker Faraz Arif Ansari, creating pathways into film and theatre.
  • Queering the Pitch: A national forum bridging sectors such as policy, business, academia, and activism for inclusive dialogue.
  • Queering the Law: Promotes legal awareness and access to justice through community engagement and expert collaboration.
  • Queering the Health: Advocacy and awareness for inclusive healthcare through seminars with doctors and health activists.
  • Queer Affirmative Counselling Practices (QACP): Trains mental health professionals in affirming, intersectional care (in collaboration with Mariwala Health Initiative).
  • Q-Samwaad Helpline: India’s first free multilingual LGBTQIA+ mental health helpline.
Education & Workforce Inclusion:
  • India Workplace Equality Index (IWEI): A pioneering benchmarking tool assessing LGBTQIA+ inclusion in Indian workplaces.
  • Emerging Queer Leaders in Hospitality: Fosters leadership in the hospitality sector through mentorship and skill-building.
  • Job Fairs & Skilling Events: Initiatives like Q-Rious, RISE, and Vividhataa connect LGBTQIA+ talent to inclusive employment.
Community Empowerment
  • Open to LGBTQIA+ applicants
  • Apna Heera: Vocational training and employment for neurodivergent individuals.
  • Project Prahari: Economic and emotional rehabilitation for acid attack warriors.
  • Pride Kraft: Inclusive skilling programs for LGBTQIA+ individuals and people with disabilities (PwDs), including hospitality, digital literacy, and English-speaking.

Strategic Collaborations: We work with partners like the British Council, FICCI, LOVE Matters India, SOFIA NGO, and The LaLiT Suri Hospitality School to amplify our impact.


Art, Culture & Sports for Inclusion: KSF uses culture to drive change through: Film screenings, inclusive sports, and cultural events like Kinnar Mahotsav and Trans Visibility Day.
